They also have connections with various NGOs that work with children throughout
the country.

of Convenant House in the U.S.) is assisting 140 street children between
twelve and eighteen years of age. Children are invited off of the street
and into the home. They are offered a place to stay, food to eat, and
education. Sports is an excellent outlet for their energy and helps builds
relationships.
Fundacion
Cristo de El Picacho Tegucigalpa, Honduras

responsible for the Ciudad Divina Providencia, a community built outside
Tegucigalpa to shelter families left homeless after the 1998 Hurricane
Mitch disaster. There are about 375 families in the community with approximately
300 children. This thriving community is a wonderful example of how people
who lose everything can come together and build a safe and positive place
to raise their children.
Mexico
Espenanza
International Tijuana, Mexico
Esperanaza International's staff and
volunteer consultants work in partnership with communities seeking long-term
solutions to their problems. Together, they establish an organizational
structure, and implement projects using available resources to meet the
basic needs of the people.. All projects are based on self-help principles.
Esperanza assists communities that have the potential for becoming sell-sustaining.
The goal is to plant the seeds, provide assistance as requested, then
step back and let the community take its own course. TFP works with the
children of these communities.
